Bulging Eyes

Oh my gosh guess what nothing to exciting, but something happened. Ok first off I had done a bunch of research online about pet rats when I first got them, like how to make them want to be held, what will it take to help them not be so skittish and also what signs they show when they are happy. So I read a couple of things they say that when they are happy or nervous they will grind their teeth together and it's called bruxing i think that how you spell it not sure, any way they also dart in little runs and then they said they also like to bulge their eyes out and that means they are really excited, I didn't know what that meant and I wanted to find out so i went onto youtube and looked it up and they had a video, of my gosh it was freaky their eyeballs actually bulge out it was freaky, and i was like i don't know if i want to see my rats do that. well anyway my rats are good girls that I can leave the cage open and they just run around it and not travel out around the apartment will sometimes butterz does but she's easy to round up she's just looking for me . any way i went over there to check on them and it was so cute my blue gray rat Yumyum was sleeping in outside the cage I've never seen her do that, it was so adorable i wish i could of snapped a picture of it but i know by the time i would of been able to she would have woke up, so left her be and went off to do some dishes and then i went back to check on her and she was up so i picked her up and was just holding her in my hands, and she was just chillin that was a big surprise because Yumyum usually tries to run and hide under my shirt (i have a lot of rat scratches on my chest ) but any way she was just chillin in my hands i think because i had her tail covered too, but i was holding her and petting around her head because they don't like their butt petted so as i was petting her i noticed that she was bruxing and then suddenly she started bulging her eyes it was so weird and cool at the same time because that meant she was comfortable in my hands it was freaky but made me happy, because none of my rats have done the bulging eye thing, but now i can say my Yummers did I feel loved by my rattie. but then she ran up my shirt and then went under by my collar sigh at least it was for a moment she felt comfy lol. I think I will post the video of a rat doing the bulging eye thing so you can see how freaky it is. well chestnuts are for fire roasting and i will talk to you later.
